Aisha Yesufu, the strong force behind the #BringBackOurGirls movement and sociology-political activist , joined live on #yourViewTVC which is aired on TVC news channel

 Below are the statements she made during the live broadcast;

"The government has adhered on paper and in announcement but can I ask you where is the execution? Where is the sincerity? Just yesterday, hoodlums were hired under the supervision of the Police in Abuja, to attack protesters."

"SWAT is not a new unit, it has been there for years. Every new IGP promises an end to Police extortion and brutality but it's always the same story time and again."

"In Nigeria, we are in an abusive relationship with our govt, yet we still try to make excuses for them. Police officers who ought to be law enforcers have become law breakers and we shouldn't even try to legitimize their actions." 

"I was shot at on Saturday and I still do not know how I wasn't hit. The Police were unprovoked by protesters so it is highly wrong for hem to start shooting."

“Let's not defend the actions of the Police because of poor welfare! Can a Doctor start killing his patients because he is under-paid!!?"

"The focus shouldn't be on whether the protests have been politicized or monetized! Have our demands been met? NO! Is there still brutality? YES! Has Police excesses been curbed? NO! Then, the protest continues!"

"Until we understand that this protest is not like other protests in time past, we would keep allowing the government to bully us and we won't achieve the desired results."
